NY JAY — Human Services Committee makes cell coverage a continuing priority. The committee, with five members present and George McCabe absent, designated unreliable service as a safety concern for residents increasingly relying on mobile phones. Kathy Connelly will contact Essex County Transportation Coordinator Doreen Abrahamson for bus usage data in Au Sable Forks and will reach out to music teachers about a jam session at Upper Jay Arts Center.
The food pantry reported serving 46 people weekly with support from Stewarts, Wards Lumber, and the Rotary Club, while new Volunteer Coordinator Krista Berger, formerly Essex County WIC Director, prepares to launch Mercy Care of the Adirondacks' Health Care Companion Advocate Volunteer Program.
