Board approves $64,132 in housing rehabilitation grants

NY JAY — Jay Town Board approves housing rehabilitation funding and enacts new procurement law. The board unanimously distributed $64,132 in Community Development Block Grant funds to North Country Rural Development for housing rehabilitation efforts. The board also introduced a "Town of Jay Best Value Procurement Law" with public hearing and special meeting set for June 22.

Additional actions included authorizing $6,500 for Community Center boiler work (one abstention), increasing highway CHIPS funding by $18,333.97 to total $295,153.97, and amending water and wastewater licensing stipends to $250 per license.
