Jay Board schedules July 22 hearing for water district upgrades

NY JAY — Jay Town Board schedules three water district public hearings for July 22. Supervisor Matt Stanley and the four-member board voted unanimously to set hearings for AuSable Forks Water District at a maximum estimated cost of $4,052,727, Jay Water District at $2,469,348, and Upper Jay Water District at $1,824,336. All three hearing resolutions passed without opposition.
The board also unanimously approved a $5,520 purchase of a replacement surface aerator for wastewater operations and authorized placement of a temporary portable toilet facility at the Upper Jay parking area using occupancy tax funds.
