Jay Planning Board approves 8-lot subdivision on Route 86

NY JAY — Jay Planning Board advances Segard subdivision to public hearing. Board members voted unanimously on three separate motions related to the 96-acre subdivision on Route 86: accepting a negative State Environmental Quality Review declaration, declaring the project a major subdivision, and setting a public hearing for March 11, 2026 at 5:30 PM. Applicant Charles Segard has coordinated with the Department of Transportation on access requirements.
The board noted that final approval will require engineered septic plans for each of the eight proposed lots; no percolation tests have been conducted.
