Committee Confirms June 5K Event on Substance Abuse Awareness

NY JAY — Jay Human Services Committee confirms June 5K fundraiser on substance abuse prevention. Committee member Robin Licari will lead the organizing effort and recruit 15 volunteers for the June 6th event, which has already received town approval and will include an education session on suicide prevention. JEMS is providing the Amos and Julia Ward Theatre and wifi access.
The committee also noted the St. James Episcopal Church Ecumenical Food Pantry's partnership with the Regional Food Bank of the Northeast, which will provide free USDA food starting April 13, and identified senior housing as a critical need in the low-income Au Sable Forks area.
