Planning Board approves Vacca minor subdivision unanimously
Planning Board · Meeting of April 21, 2026
NY JAY — Planning Board approves Vacca as minor subdivision in a pair of unanimous votes. Chair Melinda Beuf and Board Secretary Matt Gillman led the vote on a negative impacts determination, followed by a separate vote on the subdivision itself, both passing without objection. The board heard an update on the Comprehensive Plan Special Board's progress, with Recorder Wally Walters noting that Community Survey #2 results showed public concern about affordable housing for seniors and working families; consultants will conduct stakeholder interviews in December and January.
During public comment, resident Mr. Schissler raised whether future subdivisions would need to comply with affordable housing provisions in the comprehensive plan.
