NY JAY — Jay Economic Development Committee reports progress on Church Lane affordable housing acquisition. The town is under contract for a $150,000 purchase of a 16-acre Church Lane property, contingent on environmental review, with plans for 10 to 20 affordable housing units while reserving space for a municipal salt shed. The committee reviewed a Comprehensive Plan public rollout planned for October 1 and progress on a New York Forward DRI application with consulting costs estimated under $40,000.
