NY JAY — Jay Climate Smart Task Force reports progress on EV chargers and grant initiatives. The task force unanimously approved prior minutes with Wally Walters and John Culpepper sponsoring. Electric vehicle chargers at Jay and Upper Jay are awaiting completion of a Wi-Fi project by late July, while a fast charger is planned for Au Sable Forks pending a power upgrade quote from NYSEG.
Bid specifications are complete for a state energy efficiency grant covering windows and roof insulation. The 300-page Community Profile draft of the Town of Jay Comprehensive Plan is under board review with anticipated fall public release.
